Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on January. 19. 1946 to a humble family of 12 children later on, realized early that she was able to escape suffering through her imaginative mind. She was writing songs before she could read or write. In the year she turned 8, she got her first electric guitar. She started singing at an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. In the that same the year that Gold Band Records was a tiny independent record label. In high school, she made her name in the local community, yet she yearned for having a bigger stage. After she finished her high school, in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) as well as Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. At about this time Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for his television show that was syndicated. Parton joined RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry. She was hired in the year 1967. But she resigned from the show in 1974, as her own songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. Parton wrote "I Will Always Love You" for Wagoner shortly after they separated. The track hit No. The first time it reached No. 1 was 1974.
