Allison Chinchar, a CNN and HLN meteorologist. She is often featured in CNN's HLN Weekend Express and CNN International's HLN New Day Weekend. She served as a local station meteorologist at Atlanta, Nashville and Chattanooga prior to joining CNN. She's covered everything from hurricanes, blizzards as well as flooding and wildfires. She received the Emmy nomination in recognition of her coverage of Hurricane Dorian that hit the Bahamas in the year 2019. In April 2011 she reported on the Super Tornado Outbreak when 350 tornadoes struck the Southeastern United States within four days. More than 200 happened on April 27, the day of the Super Tornado Outbreak. Due to her experience in the field of environmental science, she's also covered volcanoes, earthquakes and other natural catastrophes as well as the stories of climate change. Chinchar has a bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Science, which she received from The Ohio State University.
