Amber Benson (born April 14 in 1970) is an American actor, performer as well as a writer and director. Most famously, she is known for her character Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and has also directed produced and appeared in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was a part of the film Kiss the Bride. Benson is the daughter born on January 8th 1977, of Edward and Diane Benson. Danielle Benson, the sister of her is a talented artist. The father of her is Jewish and her mother was educated Southern Baptist Benson grew up in a Reform synagogue in Alabama. Benson began appearing in other films like The Killing Jar.
